What Is Lippert?
Lippert makes RV, towing, marine, and outdoor components. RoveSpec currently carries a cross-section of Lippert entry steps and handrails, leveling and tongue-jack products, tire monitoring, door parts, ladders, water and waste equipment, and campsite or marine accessories.
These families use different fitment methods. Some require an exact doorway measurement, chassis and landing-gear match, tire-sensor configuration, door model, structural mounting surface, plumbing interface, or electrical system. Match the job and full part number before treating any item as a replacement.

How Should You Choose a Lippert Product?
Identify the Lippert product family and the system it must join, then collect physical, electrical, structural, plumbing, tire, door, chassis, and operational data required by that exact family. A brand match alone is not replacement compatibility.
| Decision | Confirm | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| System identity | RV, chassis, doorway, door, landing gear, jack, TPMS, plumbing, ladder, or accessory model and serial data | That every Lippert component shares one interface |
| Measurements and ratings | Opening, threshold, travel, clearance, load, capacity, voltage, tire pressure, flow, fittings, and mounting pattern as applicable | That a nominal product name contains the complete specification |
| Installation | Structure, backing, power and protection, controller generation, sensors, sealing, plumbing, deployment, and service access | That Universal Fit means no modification or professional work |
| Exact item | Complete Lippert part number, kit versus replacement part, side or configuration, included hardware, current manual, and RoveSpec SKU | That visually similar parts cross-fit |

How Should a Lippert Solid Step Be Selected?
Choose Solid Step equipment by the exact entry system, doorway width and threshold geometry, floor and wall structure, step count, deployed ground range, storage clearance, handrail and accessory compatibility, and current Lippert measurement instructions.
Measure the actual doorway and inspect the threshold, door swing, screen door, seals, interior floor, fastener locations, wall and cabinet clearance, exterior deployment zone, and terrain. A step, handrail, Lift Assist, Entry Assist, or replacement part may have separate fit rules.

What Is the Difference Between Lippert Ground Control Systems?
Ground Control 3.0 and Ground Control TT are application-specific automatic leveling families. Match the RV type, chassis or frame, system generation, jack and sensor configuration, controller, harnesses, capacity, installation kit, and exact part number.
A complete system, replacement jack, control module, sensor, touchpad, and harness are not interchangeable purchases. Use the identification label and current Lippert documentation; calibration and safe lifting procedures remain model specific.
06/18
Are Lippert Leveling Jacks and Stabilizers the Same?
No. Lippert explains that leveling equipment changes the RV’s attitude and supports stated leveling operations, while stabilizing equipment reduces movement after the RV is supported. Use each product only for its documented role.
Do not lift wheels, crawl under the RV, service it, or treat stabilizers as rated lifting equipment unless the exact manufacturer instructions explicitly permit the operation with required secondary support and safety controls.
07/18
How Should a Lippert Tongue Jack Be Chosen?
Choose a Power Stance, Smart Jack, or other tongue jack by trailer type, tongue weight and required capacity, lift and retracted height, mounting pattern and tube, coupler clearance, foot, power and fuse requirements, controls, and exact model.
Confirm both static geometry and the complete hitching cycle. A higher capacity does not correct an incompatible mount, insufficient travel, interference, inadequate wiring, poor grounding, or an unsafe trailer-support plan.
08/18
How Should a Lippert Tire Linc TPMS Be Configured?
Match Tire Linc sensors, dock or repeater, app or display, tire count, valve stems, pressure and temperature limits, axle layout, tow-vehicle distance, pairing process, battery service, and the exact Tire Linc generation or kit.
A TPMS warns of measured conditions but does not establish correct cold pressure, tire load capacity, tire condition, lug torque, bearing condition, or safe towing. Those remain governed by the RV, tire, wheel, axle, and vehicle manufacturers.
09/18
How Do Lippert RV Door Accessories Fit?
Match Screen Defender, Screen Shot, Screen Assist, LatchXtend, Thin Shade, keyless locks, and other door products to the exact door, opening, screen, threshold, latch, hinge, thickness, handedness, window, and stated dimensional range.
Door accessories can interfere with one another or with steps, seals, shades, windows, handles, and emergency egress. Identify the door manufacturer and model, measure according to the product guide, and verify the full part number and installed stack.
10/18
What Should Be Verified Before Installing a Lippert RV Ladder?
Verify the ladder’s exact intended application, RV structure and backing locations, mounting geometry, dimensions, load rating, roof-edge and accessory clearance, fasteners, sealing method, and safe climbing or storage configuration.
RV skin alone may not support an occupant load. Obtain the RV manufacturer’s structural guidance, avoid wiring and plumbing, maintain roof and awning clearances, seal every permitted penetration, and never exceed the stated rating.
11/18
How Should Lippert Water, Waste, and Campsite Products Be Chosen?
Match Flow Max pumps, Waste Master equipment, shelters, tables, starter kits, and marine or campsite accessories by exact job, connections, dimensions, pressure or flow, loads, utilities, environment, included parts, and current model documentation.
Potable-water, sewer, electrical, structural, and occupancy products have different safety rules. Confirm materials and sanitation, fittings and pressure, drainage, anchoring, wind limits, load ratings, storage, and local campground or marine requirements.
12/18
How Should Lippert Fitment and Sizing Be Verified?
Lippert fitment must be verified at the product-system level. Use the RV or trailer and component identification, exact dimensions and ratings, structural and utility interfaces, generation, configuration, and complete manufacturer part number.
- Record RV year, make, model, VIN where useful, chassis, door, axle, landing gear, jack, controller, tire, wheel, plumbing, and installed-component labels.
- Measure openings, threshold, frame or mounting pattern, travel, retracted dimensions, ground and interior clearance, structure, and service path.
- Confirm voltage, current, fuse, wire, controller, sensors, tire pressure, plumbing fittings, flow, and environmental ratings as applicable.
- Identify kit versus replacement component, system generation, side or handedness, color, capacity, included hardware, and required accessories.
- Match the complete Lippert part number and current manual to the RoveSpec SKU.
13/18
Why Do Exact Lippert Part Numbers Matter?
Lippert supports many generations and configurations across unrelated RV systems. Exact part numbers identify whether a listing is a complete kit, replacement assembly, controller, sensor, harness, bracket, door accessory, or service part.
Use component labels, serial and system information, current support documentation, and every interfacing part. A shared family name, connector, capacity, color, or photograph does not prove interchangeability.
14/18
What Should Be Confirmed Before Installing Lippert Products?
Follow the exact Lippert, RV, chassis, tire, electrical, and plumbing instructions. Isolate energy, support the RV safely, verify structure and utilities, use approved hardware and sealing, and have qualified service perform safety-critical work.
- Never work beneath or around an unsupported RV, trailer, step, jack, ladder, door, or moving mechanism.
- Disconnect electrical and pressure sources and follow lockout, support, and personal-protection procedures.
- Verify backing, frame and floor condition, load paths, clearances, wiring and plumbing routes, and permitted penetration locations.
- Use the specified fasteners, torque, cable, fuse, connectors, sealants, fittings, calibration, and commissioning sequence.
- Test the complete system through normal and fault operation before travel or occupancy.
15/18
How Should Lippert RV Equipment Be Used Safely?
Follow the exact product manual, keep people clear of moving equipment, use jacks and stabilizers only for their stated roles, verify steps and ladders before loading, maintain tires independently of TPMS, and secure every system for travel.
- Use wheel chocks, parking controls, jack pads, secondary support, spotters, and personal protection when the applicable manual requires them.
- Keep hands, feet, pets, clothing, cargo, and bystanders clear of steps, doors, jacks, ladders, slides, and pinch points.
- Never exceed product, RV, axle, tire, wheel, ladder, step, furniture, pump, or accessory ratings.
- Do not move the RV until steps, ladders, jacks, accessories, doors, hoses, cords, and loose equipment are in travel condition.
- Stop use after impact, overload, leak, unusual motion or noise, warning, fault, repeated fuse trip, lost pressure, or structural damage.
16/18
How Should Lippert Products Be Maintained and Supported?
Inspect and service each Lippert product according to its own manual and schedule. Keep identification and configuration records so replacement parts, updates, and support can be matched correctly.
- Inspect structure, welds, fasteners, pivots, feet, wiring, hoses, seals, sensors, valves, latches, steps, treads, ladders, and mounting surfaces.
- Clean and lubricate only the locations and materials identified by the exact Lippert instructions.
- Check seals, penetrations, plumbing and waste connections, electrical terminals, fuse condition, and corrosion.
- Retest calibration, auto-level functions, jack limits, TPMS pairing and batteries, door operation, and travel retention.
- Use exact Lippert service parts and qualified diagnosis for structural, brake, tire, lifting, electrical, gas, water, or waste-system faults.
17/18
What Warranty Applies to Lippert Products?
Lippert warranty coverage is product- and system-specific and subject to the current warranty document, proof of purchase, authorized application, installation, use, maintenance, exclusions, and claim procedure.
Do not apply a warranty term from one Lippert family to another. Incorrect fitment, modification, overload, accident, corrosion, wear, improper maintenance, RV structure, third-party components, or non-authorized repair may be handled differently by the current policy.
18/18
